Queen of Hearts

HIIIIII:))
school starts tomorrow :'( really upset...

BUT ANYWAYSS
i got some new art for you guys!!!!
i bought this free app on the ipad called
SketchBook X(express)

and i have the free version to just try out new things
and it was REAALLLLYY fun and i learnt sooo may new techniques in drawing using electronics
so the app is a bit like photoshop
but ive never actually properly used photoshop before so i dont really know whats good or whats bad

so the first thing i drew on it
was my impression on the red queen, or the queen of hearts, from alice in wonderland..
AGAIN...^-^
i was inspired by the lovely MissLeilaniJoy
and I did my retake of it,

of course the red queen from tim burtons alice in wonderland needed to be one of my inspirations.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THAT MOVIE, though people do say it wasnt as good as they expect -.-

anywayysssss
so i firstly started with my model...
and i kind of deleted the picture somehow... I AM INCREDIBLY SORRY *.*

yeah so, hair, in the shape of a love heart just came to my mind
and i reeeaallllyy wanted to have it in my drawing so i found a way to fit it in:)

i also used red paper heart doilys to create the fan like fashion piece and fluffy scarf from my second inspiration...(above:))
AND THIS IS MY FINAL PIECE:))

i tried many things on it, and the poor ipad got butchered because of how frustrated it was making me :P
so i hoped you liked my red queen and i will upload more art very soon ;)

the cupcake lady

HEY ALL...
IM BAAACCKK :))

last night i decided to do a profile face of a lady
and i wanted to make it more of a girly and fun theme.
so i got my inspiration off a painting that MissLeilaniJoy created, and its theme was sweets

THE PINK HAIR ROCKSSSS...

and so my quest began of drawing an awesome girly cupcake-ish picture:))

so my main inspirations other "Mary Antoinette" ^^ is this super cute cupcake...i know its nothing that big but i found it really cute
the second inspiration was pink hair that looked like cupcake icing and i found no image, so I created like squiggly hot dog shapes and layered them up like so...
and i made the hair

i didnt take photos of every step, so I did the first step of drawing everything and the last step of colouring and adding the details:)) i have to admit that it  looks pretty scary:)

and this is the final piece :P

hoped you liked it:))

new art:))

i just wanted to show you guys some of the art I recently..
hope you like it:)

middle eastern details

so middle eastern architecture is very different to roman or European designs
they have domed roofs and minarets, which are tall thin towers.
they also usually have water fountains or pools in the center of the courtyard or such
and they are also covered with geometrical and abstract designs
WHICH I ABSOLUTELY LOVE...

this is a mosque in Iraq, and by looking at the domed roof and intricate patterns on the dome, it is obviously a middle eastern design

this is another mosque in Turkey, its tall minarets and domes also give away the middle eastern theme
and now the thing i LOVE about middle eastern architecture are their designs
they are incredibly intricate and are such classical designs:)

and as you can tell
ALL these designs are geometrical and cant be done without the help of...
MATH
>:(

so this one here is called the
HORSESHOE ARCH...
and its extremely common in middle eastern architecture
they are completely covered with endless geometric patterns and it also shows off the wealth of its owners..;)

CRENELLATION...
and i really do love this design because of its little keyholes and arches. they are beautiful and delicate but are only there for beauty rather than defence.
although later on, the keyholes came to be an excellent hideout for arches to shoot down their arrows at the enemy

TTFN:))

wassuuuppp:)

hey all,

I am extremely sorry that I haven't been doing anything for so long
I've been somewhat too lazy to upload something and I hope you can forgive me :D
so to begin with, I have done LOADS of art whenever I feel like it
And I will be uploading them VERY soon:))

 *^-^*
so anyhoooooo
Ive been interested in architecture design, mostly the middle eastern concept
and I bought this really cool book yesterday called
"How to Draw and Paint Fantasy Architecture" and it's by a man named Rob Alexander

he is really cool and completely shows the step by step guide of drawing architecture
from different regions like the middle east, Rome, gothic and the ancient Americans like the Aztecs although I only got this book yesterday,
I totally recommend it to any of you guys who enjoy architecture mixed with a bit if fantasy:))

perspective

perspective in latin means "to see"
perspective is used to make a drawing look
realistic and 3D.

the different points of views:
:) one point perspective
:) two point perspective
:) hidden vanishing point

ONE POINT PERSPECTIVE #1:

is used to show the picture that are face forward to the viewer. there is only one vanishing point in the horizon.

ONE POINT PERSPECTIVE #2:

drawing the horizon on the ground  gives the impression that you're looking upto the object in one point perspective. this also has one vanishing point.

TWO POINT PERSPECTIVE #1:

two point perspective looks at the drawing in an angle. the horizon is drawn at the top and there are two sets of vanishing points.

TWO POINT PERSPECTIVE #2:

the horizon line is lowand again makes the drawing look as though you're looking upto the object again but at an angle. it also has two vanishing points.

HIDDEN VANISHING POINT:

in some drawings, the vanishing point can be completely out of the page, but it still can help in drawing any image.

EXAMPLES:

a two point perspective:
WHY??

because you can see tell that there are two vanishing points even though it doesnt clearly show it.

gatorade bottle

hey all
i just drew this picture of
a gatorade bottle in the car
(i took the photo as well)

this is the photo
i just edited it and made it look vintage ;)
if it does...

so this is my drawn version
i just realised that the top right corner
doesnt look that nice
but i guess its okay...

AWESOME,
bye :)

hairspray as a fixative

so i've been wanting to buy a fixative for ages
but since they're so expensive
i just left my drawings
but my mum found a post
that was saying how you could use
hairspray as a replacement for fixative
and it actually works pretty good

if you're planning to buy a hairspray
instead of fixative
make sure that the hairspray has no FRAGRANCE.

it works like a charm :)

just one of those days

painted backwards... my god

wwwdotFindIvandotcom

THIS GUY IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
he is painting with all these different types of techniques which is AWESOME
he paints with his
fingers
FACE
toothbrush
AND all that...WOW

done with a toothbrush

pencils, pens and brushes

everything needs a correct tool, including drawing
the most important tools for drawings,  are mostly
:) pencils
:) pens
:) brushes

the most commonluy used tool
is a greylead...
left: the 8B greylead
right: the lacquer coated graphite stick.

the lacquer coated graphite pencil
is a pencil made entirely of graphite
lacquer is a varnish that gives a glossy surface and is a covering for the graphite
like the wood case for a normal pencil.

the ball of what looks like blu-tack
 on the top left corner,
is actually a kneaded eraser.
its mainly used for charcoal
the top right is a normal rubber
and the bottom rubber
is basically a rubber cut into pieces,
which is good for edges.
the sharpner on the left is used for
grey leads. its not a good idea to use
the same sharpner for coloured pencils
and greyleads,
because the coloured pencils are
made up of wax, it can leave some
amounts which can ruin your
greyleads.

this is the two types of charcoal that i use
the one on the left
is the willow charcoal
its the easiest to use

the one on the right,
is the compressed charcoal
i dont work well with those

then the colour pencils!!!
thses are my FAVOURITE medium to work with
probably because theyre soo colourful
:)

recently, i watched this video which explains how to SHARPEN your coloured pencils
i tried it and it actually works a lot better

if you look at the purple pencil, which is sharpened using a sharpner, there is A LOT of wood shavings compared to the pink pencil, which i sharpened with a vege peeler :)

it makes the pencils last longer

AND FINALLY...
my prismacolor premeir colourless blender

is houldve put a picture uyp the day i bought it
but i dont know why my brain didnt get the idea

so this pencils obviously blends the
colour pencils together
you can also use
the colourless bleander marker which is AMAZING
but you could also use alcohol and a brush
which also works okay
though i wont try it.

:)

i have the bestest friends anyone could ask for
theyve known how long ive wanted the prismacolors
so the other day
when i told them that i ordered them.
they said
ohh you shouldnt have bought them
and i asked why
so they said that they were saving up to but them for me
for my birthday:)

my journey as an artist

this video has most of the drawings
that i’ve drawn from 2009 till now
i think it shows how much i have improved
over these few years
hope you enjoy!

positive comments are welcome ;)
and PLEASE FOLLOW
:))

using graphite pencils

graphite pencils are basically grey leads
but the difference is that
the graphite pencil’s lead is a lot softer
than a normal HB pencil.

graphite pencils come in different grades
from the darkest to the lightest

i use the simple set of six
8B, 6B, 4B, 2B, HB and 2H

i did have the set of 12 once,
but i took it to india,
and lost it there

so, graphite pencils are pretty easy to use
BUT
they can sumdge very easily
which ruins the drawing pretty bad

fixative can be used
to be sprayed over your drawing...
BUT
make sure that its  WORKABLE fixative

i did this drawing when i was in year 7,
its not exactly graphite pencil used completely,
the trees are a darker grade of pencil,
and the foggy area is just graphite powder*

*i just sharpened a grey lead, removed the wooden flakes and used the dust to smudge up the area
